LITHOGRAPHY
The principle of lithography is a printing technique that allows the creation and reproduction of several copies from a single work.
The excellent support for lithography remains very fine-grained limestone (Pierre de Bavière).
The stone is placed on a lithographic press, it is moistened for printing, the porous support thus makes it possible to retain water, the oily ink of the inverted design is then deposited by several repeated passes by means of a leather roller .
Once the stone has been inked, the lithograph paper is put under press to extract the pigmentation of the ink from the original drawing.
